Job title: Trainee Mammographer Location: Based in Romford, plus mobile and static sites across Outer North East London Salary: Competitive Hours: 37.5hrs per week, Mon - Fri What you will do: You will screen women for Breast Cancer by mammography, participating in assessment clinics including stereotactic biopsies; performing regular QC checks on mammography equipment including the stereotactic unit and Ultrasound machine. What you are responsible for: To undertake a postgraduate course in Mammography To take high quality mammograms To participate in the unit’s Quality Assurance Programme and take remedial action when necessary To be competent at obtaining additional views of the breast at Assessment Clinics To prepare and assist in biopsy procedures including targeting for stereotactic examinations To take part in a rota to cover work on mobile screening sites and Romford To ensure enough supplies are available at mobile sites and arrange transportation if necessary What's in it for you We offer a fantastic benefits package, which is available through a mobile-enabled rewards platform, called InJoy.
