ASSISTANT FACILITIES MANAGER

The Assistant Facilities Manager will be responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of facility services within the contract.
Job Description
Reporting to the Regional Facilities Manager (RFM), you will oversee the onsite facilities team (Placemakers) and contractors within a designated regional area. Working closely with the Placemaker teams, you will play a key role in creating an exceptional workplace experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities
* Support contract management in service delivery and identifying improvement opportunities.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, maintaining a safe working environment.
* Manage staff rostering to meet contractual requirements, covering absences effectively.
* Maintain and update essential documents such as Audits, COSHH, H&S, and SOPs.
* Oversee recruitment, training, and development of frontline staff.
* Deliver services in a commercially responsible manner.
* Manage customer queries and complaints through proper procedures.
* Complete periodic reporting, paperwork, and administration on time.
* Implement cost control measures, including materials, consumables, and agency labour.
* Maximise additional revenue through extra cover, price reviews, and service expansion.
* Supervise and manage staff performance effectively.
* Ensure compliance with policies regarding recruitment, absence management, and disciplinary procedures.
* Conduct regular staff appraisals and development activities.
About You
* Demonstrable experience in Facilities Management.
* Previous supervisory experience preferred.
* Proficiency in MS Office.
* Good understanding of service outcomes and their impact on contract success.
* Ability to manage business performance for successful contract delivery.
* Identifies areas for improvement by reviewing service levels against customer expectations.
* Problem-solving skills to address operational challenges efficiently.
* Proven leadership and communication abilities.
* Monitors and reviews individual and team performance to meet goals and targets.
