An opportunity has arisen for 2 highly motivated and experienced Medical Devices Clinical Technologists who will be responsible for for the corrective maintenance, preventative (routine) maintenance and calibration of a wide range of medical devices. This will include but not be limited to patient monitors, infusion devices, electrosurgical devices, patient ventilators and anaesthetic delivery systems. In addition, the acceptance into use and configuration of newly delivered medical devices and the evaluation of medical devices prior to purchase.
The posts are based at Hatfield but the post holders will be required to visit any Trust location as part of routine duties therefore a full valid driving license and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

A detailed understanding of the safe management of medical devices including Point Of Care Testing (POCT) devices is essential.
High standards of spoken, written communication and interpersonal skills will be required alongside IT skills including the generation of reports to a wide audience.

The post holder will provide supervision and monitoring of all administrative work and resources to ensure high levels of patient safety are achieved. Work will be performed on a wide range of tasks requiring initiative and close attention to detail including supporting service developments within the Medical Devices Team and clinical services.
In addition to the basic salary, this post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary subject to a minimum and a maximum payment per annum, pro rata where applicable.
