Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Design Technology Teacher to join our dynamic department. The successful candidate will have a passion for design, technology, and engineering, as well as the ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cover a range of design and technology disciplines, such as product design, graphics, textiles, and resistant materials.
2. Utilize a variety of teaching methods, resources, and technologies to cater to the diverse learning needs and interests of students.
3. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore their creativity, develop problem-solving skills, and pursue their passions.
4. Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them develop their practical skills, critical thinking abilities, and understanding of design principles.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the design and technology curriculum, assessment practices, and extracurricular activities.
Requirements:
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
7. A degree in design, technology, engineering, or a related field.
8. Previous experience teaching design technology at secondary level, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
9. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
10. A commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of current trends and developments in design and technology education.
