Service Engineer (The Midlands)
Salary up to £36,750 DOE, plus benefits. Full Time, Permanent position covering the Midlands areas of Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Telford, Coventry, and Worcester. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5 pm.
Wise Employment is seeking an experienced Service Engineer for a growing client. Responsibilities include completing warranty and annual service work for gas, electric, and heating appliances, diagnosing faults, and repairing appliances efficiently.
You will also perform maintenance within showrooms and complete chargeable annual servicing and repairs for customers, aiming to retain their servicing requirements for subsequent years.

This role involves working in a designated area and covering most UK areas, potentially requiring being away from home 4 nights per week. A fully equipped van, laptop/iPad, phone, and travel expenses are provided.
Key responsibilities:
1. Carrying out service and warranty calls professionally and accurately, resolving issues during the first visit.
2. Identifying the cause of issues, determining if faults are manufacturing or installation/user-related, and charging accordingly.
3. Upselling chargeable services and processing payments on-site.
4. Issuing safety notices and returning faulty parts for testing.
Essential skills:
* Experience with heating appliances or similar equipment.
* Full UK driving license.
* Training certificates: CCN1, HTR1, CONGLP1, CPA1, GAS SAFE (OFTEC advantageous).
Preferred but not essential qualifications:
* Part P Electrical Safety, Electrical safe isolation, HETAS Certification, HETAS H002, H003, H004, H006.
