The role:
We need attentive, outgoing individuals with a can-do attitude to make guests feel at home, from first impression on the phone to final goodbye at the end of their stay.
You’ll embody the spirit of Another Place with your friendly welcome, effortless charm and seamless efficiency. And you’ll get a unique insight into all aspects of a busy, award-winning hotel. What your days could look like:
Front Desk
1. To complete all daily responsibilities and tasks in a timely manner
2. To be customer focused at all times
3. Gain an understanding of the local area and the wider hotel operations.
4. To provide excellent customer service, ensuring all visitors to The Lake are greeted and have a positive first impressions
5. Checking Guest into the hotel ensuring a brand standard tour is given. Assist guests with their luggage if needed. Checking guest out of the hotel ensuring brand standards are followed.
6. Supporting F&B with guest restaurant bookings and adaptions.
7. Manage access to the Swim Club.
8. To act as the main point of contact for all visitors to Swim Club and to ensure its facilities are fully explained to all users, including a tour on the guests first visit.
9. Familiarise guests with the area and to help where needed, whilst ensuring that the Swim Club guidelines are adhered to.
10. Have a strong knowledge and understanding of the treatment & activities list and their parameters.
11. Show clients through to the treatments snug and issuing them with the tablet for consultation forms.
12. Liaise with the therapists on duty to update them on any changes to their appointments throughout the day.
13. Complete any Membership renewals as directed by the Senior House Manager.
Sheepshed
1. Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintain an excellent standard of customer service
2. To ensure the sheep shed is kept clean and tidy and that wetsuits /boots/kit are washed as required.
3. Assist in the preparation & organisation of activities for our guests both on and off the water
4. Responsibility for kit inspections of all Another Place sports equipment and maintain the satisfactory appearance to ensure it meets the guest expectations.
5. Work as part of a team to set up, pack up and proactively help all guests using the equipment on the lake
Overall
1. To represent our brand at all times
2. Respond to all enquiries in a timely manner and in a style that meets our brand guidelines.
3. Be responsible for treatments, activities, kids' zone, restaurant and secondary sales/bookings either in person, by telephone or by email and to ensure bookings are maximised within the parameters of the system and the availability of the therapists/instructors.
4. Account for the payments.
5. To be responsible for keeping the host desks and any other relevant areas up to standard.
6. Carry out appropriate end of day banking.
7. Sign in/out keys and open/close host areas as per training.
8. Meticulous attention to detail. Whether it’s pre-arrival, or in house, you’ll notice when a guest needs help with something – sometimes before they do
9. Previous experience of using property management systems
10. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook
11. Previous front of house experience
12. Previous F&B experience
13. Current Enhanced DBS
14. Experience of hotel computer systems
15. Adept at prioritising and time management
16. Administrative skills
