Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Domestic Supervisor. You will take on the rewarding role of supporting the management team within the Facilities Department.
You will assist in the day-to-day organisation and supervision of the Domestic Services, ensuring safe, effective and compliant cleaning services are delivered and maintained.
Main duties of the job
In this busy role, you must exercise effective leadership skills in managing performance and directing the FM cleaning services team. You will communicate with ward and departmental managers and will be responsible for monitoring quality standards and compliance, taking or facilitating appropriate action as required.
You should have previous experience, be able to plan in advance, and be well-organised. You must also be flexible, reliable, and hardworking with enhanced communication skills at all levels.
Experience in IT skills is essential to this role.
The post is subject to a shift pattern including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and occasional night shifts.

Qualifications
Essential
* NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in a supervisory role
* Good general education including English and Maths
* Willing to undertake further study and learning to enhance the ability to carry out the job role more effectively.
Desirable
* Accredited to a relevant professional body such as the British Institute of Cleaning Sciences (BICS)
* Knowledge of the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness.
Experience/Knowledge
Essential
* Previous experience of managing services and staff
* Knowledge of cleaning standards and services
* Experience of managing large staff groups
* Ability to prioritise work without direct supervision
Desirable
* Acute sector experience or equivalent.
