TEKLA STRUCTURES DETAILER/DRAUGHTSPERSON
(STRUCTURAL STEELWORK & ARCHITECTURAL METALWORK)

Frequency Design Ltd have been specialising in Structural Steelwork and Architectural Metalwork detailing for the Construction Industry for the last 18 years. Due to increasing contracts, we are recruiting for an experienced Tekla Detailer to join the expanding business.
The company undertakes small to medium sized contracts within the UK. Its range of projects is diverse and includes development contracts for schools, colleges, hospitals, as well as commercial and residential. There is now an exciting opportunity to join this friendly business for a hardworking and proactive individual.
Experience/Qualifications
1. Tekla Structural Experience (2 year MINIMUM active use).
2. Or similar experience with Constructional Engineering packages.
3. Educated to a minimum GCSE 'B' Grade in Math’s, English and a Science/technical subject.
4. Understanding of steel fabrication & installation.
5. Able to work under pressure to meet required timescales.
6. Ability to read and interpret Structural Engineer & Architect drawings.
7. Ability to work efficiently and independently using their own initiative.
8. Good communication skills and being able to liaise with subcontractors.
9. Willingness to learn, to improve and develop your own skills.
10. Build and maintain good relations with all clients and suppliers and their project team personnel to promote the company values.
11. Detailed and expert knowledge of the current and latest versions of Tekla Structures.
12. Working knowledge of BIM and ability to extract and import models and files into Tekla Structures.
13. Knowledge of current drawing practice and standards related to 3D model build, connections detailing and fabrication drawings.
14. Good working experience with office software such as Microsoft Office.
15. Good organisational skills.
16. Personable and able to work within a team environment, whilst displaying independence and initiative.
Included within the role
1. Reporting to Managing Director.
2. 3D modelling and detailing.
3. Creation of drawing issue sheets & RFI registers.
4. Carrying-out site surveys.
5. Liaise with Contract Design teams, clients and fabricators.
6. Attend internal production meetings and external design meetings where required.
This position is office based – Bagshot, Surrey.
Salary dependent on experience.
