The Role
As a Vehicle Security Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity solutions for automotive systems. This role involves developing secure architectures and conducting risk assessments. The Architect collaborates with cross-functional teams to embed security.
Key Responsibilities:
1. The Technical 2nd LoD review shall focus on the Cyber Security aspects of the Onboard Elements in the Vehicle (ECUs/units in the Network Architecture) and the Offboard (Mobile Communications and Cloud).
2. As part of the expectation from the CSMS process in JLR Way, the 2nd LoD review is currently mandatory for the Cyber Security Assessment of High and Critical risk projects.
3. Develop security framework for in-vehicle networks and electronic control units (ECUs).
4. Ensure compliance with automotive cybersecurity standards.
Your Profile
Key skills/knowledge/experience:
1. Awareness on the Cyber Security Regulations: The first and foremost requirement is to have knowledge of the CSMS process. An overview of the UN-R155 and UN-R156 regulations, and awareness about ISO 21434 is a must.
2. Knowledge on Cyber Security Controls: Awareness of the different Cyber Security Mitigations (Cyber Hygiene, Secure Boot, Signed SW, SecOC, Secure Diagnostics, Secure Debug, etc.) for the ECUs and the Network, and knowledge of the Security Controls found in SOTA, Mobile Communications, and Cloud for the offboard aspects is a must.
3. Knowledge on CSMS Process: Knowledge of the CSMS process with awareness of ISO 21434 is a must. Experience in DIA/CIA, Cyber Security Assessment is desirable.
