This role will allow you to run the Technical department and put your stamp on the business/team You will be conducting external audits for suppliers as well as working collaboratively with the team. Client Details Our client are a rapidly expanding custom food supplier for the foodservice and manufacturing sectors. They specialize in baked products from fresh to frozen. Description Support food technology requirements across NPD, launches, and other projects by providing timely updates and promptly escalating any obstacles to prevent delays. Lead ongoing product work, including developing quality attribute sheets for customer launches. Complete customer and NPD specifications accurately, ensuring relevant databases and project documentation are properly maintained. Offer technical guidance on products, facilitating the flow of information to sales, procurement, and external customers. Promptly address complaints and inquiries by coordinating with internal teams, customers, and suppliers. Maintain up-to-date internal databases and supplier records. Participate in training to build technical knowledge and skills, and provide product and supplier-specific information to resolve customer queries efficiently. Ensure compliance with customer Codes of Practice (COP) and standards, conducting QC assessments for core customers as required. Audit suppliers to verify adherence to customer requirements and participate in supplier visits and first production runs when necessary. Contribute to continuous departmental improvement through KPIs and targets, and ensure compliance with Agents and Brokers BRC certification requirements.
