Vision for Education are recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants for primary and SEND schools in Burnley to start in November 2024. Pay is from £350-£450 per week on a full-time basis. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting the class teacher in delivering outstanding educational support to students with SEN. You will work closely with students on an individual basis or in small groups within the classroom, providing tailored assistance to meet their specific learning needs. Your role will involve fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment, supporting students in their academic, social, and emotional development. The role is due to start in October 2024 and is a full-time role (Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 3:30pm). About the school The schools are the main local specialist providers in the Burnley area and caters to a wide range of students from the Burnley, Nelson and Colne areas. Our client schools are accessible via public transport and is close to a local train station. It is also easily accessible via local bus routes. Requirements To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant you will: A genuine passion for working with students with special educational needs. Desirable to have experience in supporting students with SEN, preferably in a secondary school setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents. Patience, empathy, and resilience to overcome challenges and adapt to individual student needs. A strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.
