This is an excellent opportunity for a professional to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing specialized vascular diagnostic services. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of vascular assessments and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. What will your responsibilities be : As a Locum Vascular Scientist, you will be tasked with conducting a variety of vascular assessments, including duplex ultrasound scans of the carotid arteries, peripheral arteries, and veins. You will engage closely with patients to explain procedures, ensure their comfort, and meticulously record test results. You will collaborate with vascular surgeons and other healthcare professionals to interpret test results and contribute to patient care plans. You will also be expected to maintain and calibrate equipment, adhere to clinical protocols, and stay updated with the latest advancements in vascular diagnostics. You will participate in quality assurance activities, assist in the training and supervision of junior staff, and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures. You will be involved in patient education, providing information on vascular health and lifestyle modifications. You will also manage inventory and supplies for the vascular lab, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and participate in research and development projects to enhance vascular diagnostic techniques and patient outcomes. Qualifications and Experiences: Degree in Vascular Science or related field HCPC registration Extensive experience in vascular diagnostics Proficiency in duplex ultrasound scans of the carotid arteries, peripheral arteries, and veins Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Attention to detail and accuracy in recording test results Familiarity with the latest vascular diagnostic equipment and techniques Experience in quality assurance and clinical audit processes Ability to train and supervise junior staff Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a clinical setting Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with advancements in the field Why work with Pulse?
