Our client, a global manufacturing company with sites based across the globe, is looking to recruit a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for their state-of-the-art manufacturing site in Glenrothes. This business-critical role involves managing and optimising business process systems to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality. The successful candidate will collaborate across functions to drive continuous improvement and support new product introductions. Responsibilities to include: - Manage and optimise business process systems to maximise efficiencies and improve labour utilisation. - Drive product quality by establishing and enforcing process standards, procedures, and specifications for all equipment and processes. - Collaborate with New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to ensure trials are well-planned and executed to agreed standards. - Develop relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to stay abreast of relevant manufacturing technologies. - Lead and support cross-functional LEAN and Six Sigma projects aimed at process improvement. - Create and implement best practice tools and methodologies within Manufacturing Engineering. - Utilise analytical and modelling tools to assess performance and drive improvements. - Provide guidance and support to production personnel on processing tasks. - Offer engineering insights on manufacturing challenges and equipment improvement initiatives. - Manage engineering budgets and generate the annual CAPEX plan aligned with capacity and NPI roadmaps. - Ensure the achievement of assigned KPIs and metrics. - Collaborate with all manufacturing and support functions to enhance performance and provide robust solutions to challenges. - Maintain up-to-date manufacturing engineering documentation. - Engage external contractors as required to support operational needs. - Conduct regular audits of process quality, BOMs, and routings to ensure compliance. - Uphold Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) responsibilities within the team. - Oversee the management of engineering personnel to ensure optimal support for factory operations. The successful candidate will ideally be degree qualified (or equivalent) and you will have significant experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in a similar role
