Job: Site Engineer
Location: Head office Falkirk, projects throughout Scotland
Employment: Full time, permanent
Contract Scotland have a unique opportunity for a Site Engineer from a civil engineering background to join a specialist civils contractor who provide technical expertise to a multitude of sectors across the construction industry. Our client specialises in the restoration and enhancement of concrete structures, ranging from bridges and wind turbines to tunnels, aqueducts, and heritage-listed buildings. With a diverse clientele including primary contractors, subcontractors, and end clients, they stand at the forefront of their field, offering you exposure to a wide array of projects.
You should be an excellent leader and have great interpersonal skills, as well as the following:
* Implementing strategies as discussed with management.
* Experienced working with RAMS.
* Checking design plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
* Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site.
* Develop method statements and risk assessment.
* Keeping accurate records, including a diary, of all site activities.
* Supporting the team, and any other site engineering duties as required.
To excel in this role, you'll need:
* A Civil Engineering related degree.
* A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Site Engineer in civil engineering projects.
* Experience as an Engineer working on concrete repairs is desirable.
* Appropriate knowledge of health and safety policies.
* Excellent communication and liaison skills.
* Valid CSCS.
* A full UK driving license.
* Flexibility for travel and occasional working away.
