Now is truly an exciting and challenging time to join our transforming and developing hospital.
This is a dynamic unit with the capacity for 30 patients who are admitted with a range of medical conditions. The patient stay is up to 72 hours, so it goes without saying the pace is fast. We are currently recruiting nurses to join our Medical short stay unit. We recognise that our reputation is built upon the skills and experience of our dedicated team. We are looking for people who have excellent clinical skills, profound communication skills along with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, patients, and their relatives.
Please note that we can only consider applications from individuals with a live NMC registration or UK nursing students awaiting their PIN, as we are currently unable to support OSCE.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting, fast-paced, and challenging ward to work on. We receive our patients from AAU and the Emergency department when they are in need of a short stay in hospital. A necessity for this role is to have a broad general medicine base. The ideal candidates for these positions would be highly motivated and have a genuine desire to help people in every way they can and also provide the best health care across the board.
The successful candidates will be fully supported with personalized development plans to assist in reaching your full potential and career goals, along with an induction programme which will include a supernumerary period, preceptorship if not already completed, and close support from a named mentor.
