Job Overview
The Head of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives brand awareness, customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth. This role requires a seasoned marketing leader with a deep understanding of the luxury travel market, brand positioning, and digital marketing strategies and trends. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in building and growing premium brands, with a focus on growth and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute marketing strategies that are tailored to the US market and position Black Tomato as the leader in luxury travel.
2. Cross Department Collaboration: Work with heads of various other departments e.g. sales, product and CX departments to align on targets, deliverables and resourcing.
3. Client Acquisition: Lead the digital marketing team to deliver strong growth in SEO, paid marketing, social media and improve online conversion across all digital channels.
4. Repeat Business: Lead the CRM team and deliver a coordinated retention marketing strategy that is personalised and innovative to grow our repeat client base, increase brand loyalty and improve client LTV.
5. Brand Management: Ensure consistency of brand vision across all channels and touchpoints. Work closely with Head of Client Experience to ensure the brand vision is felt throughout all aspects of the client journey.
6. Optimize the Customer Journey: Track interactions with our CRM and Data team and work with the Head of Client Experience to develop an astute attribution model that informs retention marketing activity and budgets.
7. Partnerships & Collaborations: Identify and establish strategic partnerships to enhance brand presence and grow the business.
8. Content Creation & Storytelling: Coordinate the creation of engaging, inspiring, and authentic content that aligns with the brand’s values and speaks to our target audience.
9. Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum impact and ROI.
10. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering creativity, collaboration, and accountability.
11. Market Trends & Competitor Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics to continuously refine the marketing strategy.
Key Requirements:
1. Extensive experience in digital and direct marketing, with a focus on the luxury or luxury travel sector.
2. A deep understanding of US-based UHNWs and HNWs.
3. Proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns that drive acquisition and repeat segments.
4. Expertise in digital marketing channels, including social media, content marketing, SEO/SEM, and performance marketing.
5. Experience with PR and strategic partnerships.
6. Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple campaigns, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment including use of digital project management tools e.g. Asana, Clickup, Trello.
7. Strong leadership and team management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams and developing a high-performance culture.
8. Experience producing first-class forecasting and MI/BI or board reports.
9. Experience managing and appointing agencies.
10. Experience managing and planning budgets.
11. Experience working in lockstep with sales and client services departments to ensure marketing is agile and effective.
