Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner
Salary: GBP29.5 - GBP36.5 pa (DOE pro rata)
Contract Duration: 3 months (this could be extended or become a permanent role)

Our client is a growing, dynamic integrated occupational healthcare business that is further developing their psychological support services. They aim to make a real difference, employing a multidisciplinary team to help employees and their families address multifactorial issues associated with psychological distress. Our client seeks individuals who share their vision and are willing to help clients address broader work and life stressors.
Purpose of the Role:
To conduct initial telephone consultations for employees and dependants who contact the EAP service and make appropriate recommendations for individualised wellbeing support. Support the delivery of a range of stepped care interventions to those with reactive life events and common mental health problems, including individual lifestyle promotion, signposting, guided self-help, and guided online therapy (Silvercloud).
Key Responsibilities:
* Establish the current reason for ill health and identify any underlying causes or contributory risk factors: personal and occupational.
* Effectively communicate to the employee or dependant the multifactorial issues associated with the current episode of ill health and how they can personally address the risk factors within their locus of control.
* Provide guided self-help via telephone/video conferencing and act as a supporter on Silvercloud, both within service guidelines.
* Identify and appropriately escalate any safeguarding issues to the line manager or other senior manager.
* Maintain accurate records.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified with a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Certificate and registered with the British Psychological Society or BACP.
* GCSE English C or above.
* Ability to write clear and accurate English.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Desirable:
* IAPT experience / Postgraduate Certificate in Low Intensity Interventions.
* Experience providing low-intensity interventions for common mental health problems.
Depending on candidate location, this role can be fully remote or hybrid after training, which will take place in the head office in Tewkesbury.
