The role
As an Assistant Requirements and Database Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. A significant programme of infrastructure investment is required on the Devonport site to meet the needs of the future MOD ship and submarine programmes. The Major Infrastructure Projects (MIP) Business Unit has been established to deliver a portfolio of facility development projects including the design, build and commission docking and berthing facilities for Astute Class submarine maintenance activities
Day-to-day, you'll be supporting the Requirements and Database Manager with database maintenance and supporting the wider team with administration activities.
* Maintain Engineering Databases.
* Updating internal Common Data Environments (CDE) such as CDMS and Sharepoint.
* Supporting Senior Managers with day-to-day administrative functions.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Assistant Requirements and Database Manager
* A working knowledge of the IBM DOORS database and an understanding of system engineering is desirable however, training will be provided if required.
* Experience of day to day administration activities that enable the smooth running of an engineering team.
* Experience in the use of CDE.
* Good understanding and experience of the current Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
* Enthusiastic to learn new processes and become fully integrated into the User Acceptance Group (UAG) team.

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role.
