We are working in partnership to fill this role with another recruitment agency based in the UK.
Our client is seeking an External Audit Manager to oversee complex audit engagements and lead a team of experienced auditors. This role offers the opportunity to work with high-profile clients and contribute to the firm's strategic direction.
Responsibilities
1. Leads on-site audits, implementing agreed plan, through to completion, coordinating on-site resources, allocating the team to tasks and timescales for completion.
2. Lead on audit quality, ensuring adherence and compliance with company practice and auditing standards.
3. Work closely with audit juniors, reviewing their work and supporting them in the development of their role.
4. Responsible for on-site audit findings report, identifying and documenting any areas of concern/risks identified by audit team, emphasizing relevant messages, and submitting for review.
5. Develop good client relationships to adapt approach and communication and ensure client satisfaction.
6. Understand the impact on client relationships to ensure a great client experience.
7. Offer support to team members and across other teams, sharing knowledge as appropriate and personally getting involved.
8. Identify opportunities for cross-team working and take actions to maximize collaboration.
Requirements
1. Knowledge of Accounting, Auditing, and Corporate Taxation.
2. The ability to take responsibility for resolving issues and proposing solutions.
3. Effective communication skills.
4. Ability to work in cooperation with others to achieve the required objective.
5. The ability to multi-task while maintaining quality of delivery.
6. Understanding of effective client relations and their relation to individual roles, teams, departments, and overall business objectives.
7. Ability to monitor and check the accuracy of work and develop others to solve problems.
8. ACCA or ACA Qualified.
9. Experience of overseeing, training, and developing audit juniors on-site and in the office on assigned clients.
10. Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team.
