Due to the continued success and expansion of our business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trade Sales Assistant at Shepton Mallett Branch.
The Role
Offer a high standard of service to customers at all times, being mainly responsible for receiving and processing sales orders received from customers in our sales office, as well as dealing with customers who attend our trade counter. Assist and deal with enquiries received from customers and potential customers.
Dealing with orders and enquiries received from customers and potential customers over the phone, via email and in person, whether they report directly to the trade counter, or present themselves anywhere else on the Company’s premises. In particular, offering direct assistance to customers.
Offer a high standard of customer service by greeting customers and politely ascertaining their needs and wants. If appropriate, recommending and pointing out items matching their needs, and accurately describing product features and benefits to maximise sales and customer satisfaction.
The Requirements
* Driving Licence preferred
* Basic addition and subtraction skills
* Strong knowledge of Builders Merchants
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Experience in an internal sales role or equivalent an advantage, but not essential
* IT literate
* Ability to work under minimal supervision
* Able to prioritise workload effectively
* Ability to maintain technical knowledge of product ranges
* Capable of interpreting customers’ needs where appropriate
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Willingness to undertake training to improve capability in role
* Personable, a good telephone manner and friendly personality
The Hours
Week 1: Monday - Friday 07:30-17:00
Week 2: Monday - Friday 07:30-17:00, Saturday 08:00-12:00
