We are looking for a special person to join our team. We require an enthusiastic and dedicated 1:1 TA to support children with social communication and other needs.This can be shared between a number of successful applicants and we would welcome applications from people seeking flexibility which may be able to be facilitated. We are looking for someone who:
• is organised, caring and committed to children’s learning and well-being
• is flexible, calm and adaptable
• is able to work effectively in a team and take initiative
• is approachable and can communicate effectively
• Has high expectations alongside a warm and positive approach
• Has a clear understanding of practices and policies within a school
• Has experience of engaging with and supporting children’s learning and is sensitive to the needs of all children
• Is trained to at least level 2 of a Teaching Assistant qualification, has a minimum of 3 GCSEs at C grade or above, including English and Maths and is willing to develop their own professional development

• Experienced in following the children’s interests and adapting activities to meet the needs of the children.
• Experience of supporting children’s learning to meet individual needs

The role of a SEN TA is to work under the supervision of the class teacher and SENDCo, undertaking a range of directed activities to support the educational and developmental needs of pupils, assisting teachers in the organisation and maintenance of classroom resources and to contribute to the supervision and welfare of pupils throughout the school.Working pattern - Monday-Friday 29 hours 35 mins per week (8.50am - 3.15pm with 30 min lunchbreak)This is a fixed term post to cover maternity leave until 2nd March 2026, will end sooner if postholder returns before this date. The starting date for this post is 3rd March 2025 or as close to this date as possible, there will be flexibility if required due to a longer notice period. All staff and volunteer appointments will be subject to appropriate vetting, including an enhanced DBS disclosure check.
