Salary: £12.80 per hour.

Hours: 40 hours per week.

About our service
Our four-bed residential home for children, aged 5 – 17 years, is registered with OFSTED and offers services to young people who have learning disabilities, challenging behavior and complex needs. We are situated in the residential area of Rushden, close to local resources and facilities.
The service offers each child their own bedroom and a range of communal living spaces including a large garden room which provides recreational facilities for them to create their own activities. This area is designed to encourage creative and sometimes messy projects.
The role
You will support the Registered Manager by leading the day-to-day management of a shift. This will involve providing practical assistance and emotional support to empower your team in supporting the children they support to achieve their goals and aspirations.
About you
Successful applicants will need to have experience supporting children with learning disabilities. As a member of the team, you will need a real passion for providing a high standard of support that enables our children and young people to be as independent as they can, learn and develop through education and experience, stay healthy and most importantly, have a fun, fulfilling life. In addition:
* Commit to working across a variety of shifts on a rota basis
* You must be working towards or hold a Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* Be able to demonstrate your leadership skills
