We’re on the hunt for a talented Account Manager to grow key accounts in the UK & Ireland, driving innovation and success. This is a remote-based role with 60% travel across the UK & Ireland.
LGC’s Diagnostics & Genomics Division develops and manufactures a comprehensive portfolio of catalogue and custom-developed diagnostic quality solutions and component materials in addition our Genomic side of the business has integrated portfolio of products, services and expert support for your entire genomic work flow including Nucleic acid sample preparation, Oligos, probes, primers, Sequencing cloning, protein expression, PCR instruments, reagents and consumables for the extended life sciences industry.
We partner with IVD assay developers, and pharmaceutical, CRO and academic institutions in commercialization activities across the entire diagnostic pipeline - from concept and early-stage research, through expedited product development and onwards into routine clinical use.
Laboratorians and diagnostic professionals across disciplines of clinical chemistry, immunochemistry, serology, molecular diagnostics, and clinical genomics rely on LGC’s products to support accurate and reliable diagnostic results.

Job Description
1. Serve as your accounts' primary relationship management executive, with accountability for revenue generation and development of emerging opportunities.
2. Understand customers’ business requirements and recommend solutions from our portfolio in a consultative manner to address scientific, automation, and business challenges.
3. You’ll network across all organizational levels, from C-level executives to lab technicians, facilitating brainstorming sessions, developing proposals, and negotiating deals,
4. You'll drive a solution-oriented sales process, using resources throughout the sales cycle to develop and maintain positive relationships with key clients, ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction.
5. Identify potential business prospects and actively contribute to sales growth to achieve and surpass set targets.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and successfully implement tailored solutions.
7. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and optimize sales strategies, maintaining systems and updating prospect records.
8. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to important decision-makers.
Qualifications
To be successful you need:
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a biological or life sciences wet-lab or business development role. We have a preferred emphasis on molecular and cell biology and related applications
Familiarity in a sales role, particularly in the B2B sector, is highly valued, along with a proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
As a successful candidate, you'll possess exceptional communication and negotiation skills, enabling you to build rapport and influence decision-makers effectively. You'll also demonstrate a knack for problem-solving, understanding client needs, and delivering tailored solutions.
Organisation and time management are key in this role, as you'll need to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
