About the Role: As the Household Large and Complex Technical Claims Lead, you will play a pivotal role in leading our team of Major & Complex Loss Consultants, handlers, and the Subsidence Team. Your primary responsibility will be to manage a portfolio of the highest value and most complex claims, ensuring that each case is handled swiftly, efficiently, and in line with all established procedures, guidelines, and service standards.
You will be a role model for your team, providing support, mentorship, and identifying formal training needs to ensure that each team member maximizes their capabilities and performance. Your goal will be to create an environment where technical skills are honed, and a quality service is consistently delivered to both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead a team of handlers, fostering an environment that encourages technical skill development and a customer-focused approach.
2. Manage high-value and complex claims with a focus on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to guidelines.
3. Provide guidance, motivation, and direction to your team, organizing training to ensure optimal skill utilization.
4. Support the development of claims handlers from outside the Household Large Loss claims area.
5. Contribute to the overall management of claims within the Client’s Technical Claims Team.
6. Handle customer complaints in line with Client guidelines and FSA regulations, ensuring customer interests are met.
7. Manage claims cost containment, service provision, and promote fraud investigations.
Skills and Experience Required:
8. Extensive technical expertise, analytical skills, and attention to detail within a household large loss claims environment.
