West Kirby School & College is seeking to appoint a dedicated English Teacher

Salary: Main – Upper Pay Scale dependent on experience + £2,679 (1 SEN point)
Contract: Permanent, full time (part time will be considered, please specify your preference in your application)

Role Overview:
Are you an outstanding teacher who wants to work in an environment where you can make a real difference to the long-term outcomes of children and young people with Special Educational Needs? We are seeking an English Teacher.
Flexibility, humour and willingness to go the extra mile are essential for all staff to ensure a high standard of support for all our pupils. You should also be willing to contribute to a diverse range of extra-curricular activities. You must be a highly motivated practitioner who is able to meet the complex needs of young people who have a history of difficulties within a learning and social environment. In addition to English, candidates should clarify other curriculum skills/experience they can offer.
You will:
* Be an outstanding practitioner
* Be able to teach pupils to GCSE entry level standard in English
* Be committed to working with children with SEND and high-level complex needs
* Have knowledge of or interest in Autistic Spectrum Conditions and understand associated behaviours.
* Have a passion for developing children and children’s learning
* Have had involvement in recording, developing, analysing and tracking pupil progress
* Be committed to working within a team promoting exciting and creative learning
