Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations of our establishment, ensuring exceptional service and maintaining high standards when welcoming our guests for hotel stays, dining, drinking and events. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
1. Organise and complete admin tasks to a high standard including emails, hotel bookings and event bookings.
2. Provide hotel guests with a warm welcome upon check in and ensure each guest leaves having experienced excellent customer service throughout their stay.
3. Provide up to date and thorough planning notes for all events and table bookings to the Manager, kitchen and FOH teams.
4. Manage festive bookings and pre-orders to ensure a seamless experience for guests throughout the Christmas season.
5. Handle customer enquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
6. Participate in menu planning and development alongside the management team, contributing creative ideas for seasonal offerings.
7. Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations within the hotel, bar and restaurant, ensuring all staff adhere to company policies and procedures.
8. Provide leadership and support to team members, promoting a collaborative atmosphere that encourages professional development.
9. Assist in onboarding and training of new employees, focusing on hospitality standards and operational procedures.
Requirements
1. Proven experience in an administrative role preferably within the hospitality industry.
2. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
3. Experience in bartending is advantageous but not essential.
4. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
5. Available for the following shift pattern: Week 1: Sunday 7-3pm, Monday 7-7pm, Wednesday 6-4pm & Friday 6-4pm / Week 2: Monday 7-7pm, Wednesday 6-4pm, Friday 6-4pm & Saturday 7-3pm. This is a 4-day working week with alternate weekends and one 12-hour shift each week.
