Job overview
We are seeking a qualified Female Mammographer for our Breast Imaging department. The role involves working in NHS Breast Screening and symptomatic breast care, with full-time or part-time options.
Our Norwich Breast Unit is part of the QSI-accredited Radiology Department, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including digital mammography, tomosynthesis, CESM, ultrasound, and upcoming MRI-guided biopsy services.
Main duties
The department provides symptomatic and screening services using advanced digital technology. The team includes various specialist roles, and we operate mobile and static screening units across Norfolk.
Applicants must hold a SCOR-accredited mammography qualification recognized by the NHS BSP, with international qualifications recognized via UK ENIC. A full UK driving license is required.
Responsibilities include producing high-quality images, ensuring safety standards, working independently, and communicating effectively with patients.
Person specification
Qualifications (Essential):
* Diploma/Degree from the College of Radiographers
* PG Certificate in Mammography (SCOR accredited)
* Health Professions Council registration
* Full clean UK driving license
Experience (Essential):
* Previous mammography practice
Desirable:
* NHS BSP knowledge and experience
