Job Description:
Are you interested in a career in the Mental Health Industry? Are you wanting to expand your experience by supporting young children and their needs?
A fantastic school in Maidenhead is recruiting for a Mental Health Support Worker to join their staff in providing high-quality, continuous support to their students. The school specializes in students who have Complex Learning Disabilities as well as significant Mental, Social, and Emotional Needs and would love to welcome a Mental Health Support Worker to work on a 1-1 basis with students who would benefit from extra concentrated support throughout the school day.
As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to work closely with children who display challenging behaviour and have mental health difficulties, meaning you will gain a better understanding of how to communicate, regulate, and advocate for children in the SEN community.
The school is looking for a committed, confident, and well-educated candidate to take on the role of Mental Health Support Worker and bring enthusiasm and empathy into the classroom. Ideally, the successful applicant will have excellent behaviour management skills, education surrounding Special Educational Needs, and experience in either a professional or home environment. The Mental Health Support Worker will have the opportunity to gain professional experience working alongside qualified therapists, behaviour consultants, and psychologists which could kick-start their entrance into the industry.
