Wythenshawe Hospital, part of Manchester Foundation Trust, is seeking to appoint committed and compassionate radiographers to join our CT Team.
The workload is varied, and we perform many complex scanning procedures. The department has three CT scanners covering all aspects of CT scanning. We intend to increase our interventional service and provide increased capacity for scanning and supporting lung cancer patients with the introduction of a dedicated Lung Cancer scanning unit.
The CT department consists of a friendly team who all work on a shift pattern rota, covering seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate an interest in CT scanning and have some experience working in the NHS CT environment.
The CT department at Wythenshawe is very busy, and we scan many patients from all areas of the hospital. You will need to work with a large team of Radiographers, including Radiologists, Radiology Assistants, and Interventional Nurses.
Responsibilities include:
1. Being responsible for the operational delivery of high-quality, safe, and efficient CT imaging.
2. Providing supervision and training for junior Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners, Radiographic helpers, and Student Radiographers.
