About the Role
We’re searching for an exceptional Product & Innovation Lead to drive the next chapter of growth for a disruptive wellness brand based in London.
Sitting at the intersection of product strategy, formulation, and commercial execution, this role is perfect for someone who blends creativity with commerciality and is obsessed with developing truly differentiated products that customers love.
You’ll own the full end-to-end NPD process, from ideation through to commercial launch, and work directly with the founders and cross-functional teams including brand, supply chain, retail and growth.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Ideation
- Lead the development of the brand’s product roadmap in alignment with business goals, customer insights and market trends
- Identify whitespace opportunities through trend analysis, consumer research, market data, and competitor benchmarking
- Champion a culture of innovation within the business, driving bold, creative thinking rooted in insight.
Formulation & Development
- Own the formulation process from concept through to commercial readiness, including sourcing ingredients, briefing manufacturers, and managing iterations
- Collaborate with R&D partners, labs, and suppliers to develop high-performance, clean-label formulations that meet taste, efficacy and regulatory standards
- Set and uphold gold standards around ingredient integrity, scientific credibility, and nutritional profile.
Execution & Launch
- Manage project timelines and coordinate cross-functionally with brand, growth, supply chain and retail teams to bring products to market
- Lead packaging development in collaboration with design and sustainability partners, ensuring form meets function and brand storytelling
- Develop robust go-to-market plans in tandem with marketing and commercial teams.
Commercial & Operational Ownership
- Build business cases for all innovation projects including margin modelling, COGS forecasting, and operational feasibility
- Work closely with supply chain and finance to ensure scalability, efficiency, and profitability from concept to shelf
- Continuously optimise NPD processes to drive speed to market and reduce bottlenecks.
Research, Insights & Feedback
- Stay at the forefront of emerging trends in wellness, biohacking, sports nutrition, adaptogens and beyond - Incorporate real-time customer feedback and data to validate product ideas and iterate quickly
- Engage with emerging science, research journals and expert networks to ensure innovation isboth credible and cutting-edge
About You
- 5+ years in NPD, Innovation or R&D roles within wellness, functional food & beverage, supplements or performance nutrition
- Proven track record of launching products into DTC, retail or omni-channel environments in the UK or EU
- Deep understanding of formulation and manufacturing processes, from flavour development to co-man production
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance creative ambition with margin and scalability
- Experience working cross-functionally and managing stakeholders across brand, growth, ops and supply chain
- Hands-on and execution-focused with a track record of getting things done
- Passionate about wellness, ingredients and consumer trends
- Located in or near London with the ability to work hybrid across a central office and manufacturing or partner sites
