About Us: At our Aurora Boveridge College, we support young people between the ages of 16 and 25 who have additional social, emotional, autism and mental health needs. We’re currently looking for a number of Life Preparation & Transition Night Support Workers to assist our students in their homes (on-site) (no personal care responsibilities). The role: As a Night support worker, you will play an important role in our young people’s lives, preparing them for adult life and facilitating their transition into further education, training, or employment. Following a handover from our day team, you’ll support our students with their evening routine. You will mentor and support our young people in their evening activities, sports, or hobbies both on and off site and ensure they settle for night. This will be with the use of verbal and visual prompting dependent on the need of the young person. You’ll also provide a key liaison point for parents and carers and ensure all health/medical needs are looked after throughout the night. You will be the listening ear and emotional support for young people to talk to after a busy day. The key to this role will be your ability to participate and to motivate whilst ensuring our students develop their own independent living skills.
