Production Supervisor
Knaresborough, £35k + DOE,
We seek a highly confident and driven graduate with recent experience in production supervision, manufacturing engineering, or continuous improvements within either a placement or post-graduation employment for an exciting opportunity to join a world-class manufacturer in the North Yorkshire area. The role would suit a dynamic candidate with outstanding management and motivational skills and a keen interest in change management looking to work for a company that has excellent career progression and development opportunities.
Responsibilities:
1. Managing production in accordance with the planned schedule.
2. Overseeing labour utilisation, material utilisation to BOM, performance and efficiency, recording and actioning noncompliance to process.
3. Ensuring quality standards are maintained, managing customer complaints, internal scrap, right first-time quality, adherence to control plans whilst controlling costs and wastage.
4. Managing, training, mentoring, empowering, and coaching of team members to improve morale.
5. Undertaking team performance management and implementing & monitoring KPI's.
6. Managing all health and safety requirements, accidents & frequency, reporting, and investigation, risk assessments.
7. Undertaking 5S audits, implementing lean practices and improvements where possible.
Requirements:
1. Qualified to degree level within a relevant discipline.
2. Excellent knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques.
3. Confident motivational and management skills.
4. The ability to identify areas for driving change and improve productivity within an established team.
5. Knowledge of high-speed volume manufacturing environment.
6. A proven record of accomplishment of performance improvement.
7. Strong man-management/influencing skills.
8. A passion for continuous improvement and be able to demonstrate successful utilisation or knowledge of Lean & World Class Manufacturing techniques.
9. Undertaken some training within lean, CI and have experience of implementing new processes.

The shift rotational pattern includes a week of earlies (6am to 2pm), a week of lates (2pm to 10pm), and a week of days (8am to 4pm).
