Role Overview:
MEICA - Environment
PAYE - £400
Reporting to the Contract Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of Projects on site, including the preparation of all relevant documentation prior to the commencement of the installation phase of contracts. You will manage and control all site activities, ensuring that all work is undertaken in a safe and timely manner, in accordance with all Safety, Health and Environmental legislation, relevant contractual timescales, and contract specifications. You will work alongside the Contract Engineer and Planner to regularly review the progress of the works, ensuring adherence to the contract programme dates.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Site Management Plans
2. Risk Assessments and Method Statements for activities being undertaken by directly employed resources
3. Installation programmes
4. Test and Inspection documentation
5. Daily diary sheets
6. Daily allocation sheets
7. Records of delays and changes, including financial implications
8. All relevant Safety, Health and Environmental documentation
9. Records in respect of Subcontractor progress and performance
10. Undertake Site Inductions and regular Toolbox Talks for all resources visiting and working on the site
11. Ensure that site costs are monitored and controlled
12. Preparation of progress reports as required
13. Attendance at site visits/meetings
14. Coordination and liaison with suppliers, specialist sub-contractors, in-house functions, site installation, and construction teams
15. Preparation of material & plant requisitions
Experience and Qualifications:
1. An industry applicable ONC or City & Guilds / NVQ equivalent
2. Demonstrable experience of working within the water and/or sewage industries
3. Relevant H&S qualifications (IOSH or CITB 5 Day Site Safety Management, a relevant CSCS card, and First Aid training)
4. A commercial and contractual awareness balanced by excellent man management skills
5. Working knowledge of Microsoft packages
6. Self-motivation
7. Ability to organise yourself and others' workload
8. Proactive approach
9. Excellent communication skills
10. A high level of diplomacy and customer focus
