In the role of Electrical Works Manager at Historic Environment Scotland, you'll have the unique opportunity to manage and contribute to the constant programme of works and maintenance on historic buildings, based at one of Scotland’s most premier sites. Your key objectives will include overseeing the daily deployment of our 2 dedicated Monument Electricians along with the supervision of any external Electrical contractors when they are required and on site, ensuring the highest standards of maintenance and conservation at Stirling Castle and surrounding sites. You'll be responsible for planning works, ordering materials, ensuring relevant Electrical documents are attained and implementing health and safety policies, ensuring our historic sites are preserved for future generations.

Fully Qualified Electrician at Electrical SVQ level 3: A solid foundation in Electrical installations and good Electrical fault-finding skills, demonstrating your hands-on experience and expertise in this fields.
~ Knowledge and Experience in Current Electrical Regulations: A deep understanding of Electrical Regulations and standards (18th Edition Certified).
~ Competence in using IT tools such as Outlook, Word, and Excel to manage project documentation and communications effectively.
~ Strong knowledge of health and safety best practices, with experience in conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance on-site.
~ Staff Management Experience: Proven experience in managing or supervising a team, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff.
~ Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to think quickly and adapt to new challenges, ensuring the smooth execution of projects and maintenance tasks.
~ Desirable Qualifications: An HNC in construction Management (or a willingness to work towards it), a driving license, and certifications like SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely are advantageous but not essential.
