BOSS Energy Consulting LTD – Operation Electrical Support Engineer
BOSS Energy, a leading climate technology company, is seeking an Operations Electrical Support Engineer to join their team at their facility in East Anglia.
About the Role
* Operate and maintain the plant at their first industrial Pilot Plant, Norfolk, featuring the UK's first ever deployment of carbon negative DAC technology.
* Conduct safe start-ups for DAC modules and maintain sustained operations over months of plant operations.
* Assist with the execution of the pilot plant experimental plan in liaison with the Plant Operations Manager.
* Report on unit performances, identify regular failure modes, and propose product improvement ideas.
* Troubleshoot issues, record interventions, and pass on information to the product improvement team.
* Participate in failure analysis, using multiple methodologies to find root causes and propose improvement plans.
* Execute maintenance routines and deputise for the Plant Operations Manager in inducting site visitors.
Key Requirements
* Interest in developing skills in a start-up environment with new technology.
* Experience in operations and maintenance, commissioning, start-up, and maintenance of electrical units.
* Strong understanding of Reliability, Availability, Maintenance / OEE.
* 2+ years' experience in the electrical industry.
Nice to Have
* Experience running and repairing Research & Development pilot facilities.
* Suitable safety accreditation, e.g. NEBOSH.
* Lean operational certificate, e.g. six sigma or equivalent.
* Continuous improvement training / programme experience.
* Engineering Level 3 qualification.
* Good understanding of hazard and risk identification.
