Dovehaven Care Homes are recruiting for a Deputy Home Manager that is an RGN to join our team at Dovehaven Lodge Nursing Home, Ingol, Preston. Working 48hrs a week Supernumerary with some weekends included, and a rota based on call.

Dovehaven Lodge is a Nursing home catering for up to 112 residents. The home specialises in dementia care, and our aim is to ensure all our residents feel as comfortable as possible. Our homes promote independence, dignity and respect through positive risk taking and empowerment.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for assisting the Registered Home Manager in managing and developing high quality services for all our residents and the management and development of the staff team. We are looking for our Deputy Manager to instill a culture of care and continuous improvement across the service, actively working with the team, our residents and their families to develop a Centre of excellence for person-centered care.
The successful candidate will ensure the promotion of high standards of care, fulfil the duties of the Home Manager where required, ensuring the home runs in accordance with CQC guidelines and that the team are managed appropriately and that the home is run in a smooth and efficient manner.
Your Skills and Experience:
* Experience of working in a similar environment, demonstrating a track record in leading, motivating, managing and developing staff.
* Clear understanding of leadership responsibilities in elderly/social care with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proven management experience within the sector and relevant qualifications.
* Self-motivated, resilient and well-organised, dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the home.
* Conversant with the company/home's policies and procedures and the regulatory framework within which each home is required to comply.
* Ensure all care plans, risk assessments, audits, and other agreed outcome measures are integral to the residents' care and regularly monitored and updated in accordance with regulatory requirements.
* Undertake regular audits to assess the quality of care given to the residents and present findings at managers' meetings.
* Continue to build a positive reputation of the home and liaise professionally with visitors including families, friends, and other external stakeholders.
