Manufacturing Quality Control Inspector – £45,000 Location: South Aberdeenshire Type: Full-Time Salary: Circa £45,000 per annum We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Quality Control (QC) Inspector on behalf of our client, a prominent company in the manufacturing and subsea industries. Role Overview As a Manufacturing QC Inspector, you will ensure that products meet strict quality control standards at every stage of the manufacturing process. This includes inspection, testing, and verification of products to identify defects, ensure compliance, and maintain the highest standards of quality. Key Responsibilities Product Inspection & Testing: Perform detailed inspections (visual and dimensional) during production. Conduct functional and performance tests to confirm product compliance with specifications. Accurately document inspection results and maintain comprehensive records. Provide expertise in material certification, welding, NDT, and other quality assurance areas. Quality Assurance Compliance: Oversee adherence to ISO 9001:2015 quality standards and procedures. Assist with internal audits and drive corrective actions for quality concerns. Support process monitoring and ensure alignment with KPIs. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed inspection and quality assurance reports. Maintain quality documentation within established management systems. Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to address quality concerns and ensure seamless production. Drive process improvements and contribute to a culture of safety and quality. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization to enhance product quality. Recommend improvements to inspection methods and techniques. Ideal Candidate Profile Experience: 10 years in steel fabrication quality control, with experience in the subsea or offshore industry highly preferred. Certifications: CSWIP 3.1 certification is essential. Technical Skills: Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and quality standards like ISO 9001:2015. Strong understanding of weld procedures, NDT, and subsea/offshore wind/renewables fabrication processes. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
