Job Title: Store Manager, Ladies & Men's Departments

We are looking for a commercial and driven Store Manager to lead the Ladies and Men's Departments in Selfridges Manchester. The successful candidate will be an inspirational leader who is able to build a strong team spirit and lead the team to the achievement of individual and shared goals with passion and enthusiasm. This is a full-time role which requires flexibility to work Monday to Sunday on early and late shifts.
Sales
1. Manage the stores sales performance and service.
2. Make the most effective use of space and stock available by maximising sales and minimising wastage of resources through the team.
3. Ensure that the merchandise is displayed effectively using promotional material to reflect current demand.
4. Lead by example in client recruitment and development of client loyalty through CRM activities.
5. Achieve the boutique capture rate and mystery result targets.
6. Handle any situation with customers.
7. Maintain awareness of competitor activity and communicate this to the team.
8. Possess full knowledge of back office functions and boutique analysis (CRM, client recruitment, P&L, store activities, stock control, reports, VM rules etc).
Merchandise
1. Ensure that the boutique maintains the correct basic stock levels.
2. Provide effective feedback, ensuring that popular selling lines are replenished on time.
Controllable Costs
1. Control stock loss within store budget and implement stock audits effectively.
2. Ensure that the boutique operates in accordance with Company administration systems and procedures to minimise losses.
Security
1. Ensure that the Company procedures on security in relation to theft/pilferage are adhered to.
2. Report all suspected shoplifters to Loss Prevention officers.
3. Ensure that all staff are trained and know and follow the Company systems on: cash handling, credit authorisation, acceptance of cheques, arrangement of staff purchases, reporting of stock, cash and loss.
Employee Relations and Staff Training/Development
1. Participate in the recruitment, training, evaluation, motivation and development of the staff.
2. Oversee and manage employee performance appraisals and highlight employees for development.
3. Communicate effectively in order to develop a stable team and a succession plan for your business.
4. Hold morning briefings and motivate the team to achieve the objectives.
5. Network with Dior management to share best practices.
Health and Safety
1. Ensure that Health and Safety policy and procedures are adhered to within the concession for both staff and customers.
Additional Responsibilities
1. Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping and retail standards within the concession.
2. Participate in stock takes outside of normal working hours to ensure a smooth operation at all times.
3. Be aware of all Company's and Department Stores policies and procedures such as till maintenance, store approval, induction days, events, etc.
4. Act as a Dior Ambassador with impeccable grooming and appearance to the full standards of Christian Dior, including make-up, nails and wearing of Dior watch and jewellery only.
Minimum Requirements:
Previous management retail experience in the luxury sector.
Strong expertise in ladies and men's ready to wear.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
Outstanding sense of customer service, sense of initiative and commercial creativity with fashion.
A passion for Christian Dior and our collections.
Strong knowledge of fashion and trends.
Fluency in a second language (preferred).
