We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Finance apprentice to join our team specializing in Finance for our Global Center of Accounts in Darlington, UK. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Compiles, consolidates, and conducts basic analysis of accounting and finance information. Assists with the production of monthly and annual financial statements and reports. Makes accounting adjustments through appropriate journal entries. Assists with monthly and annual account reconciliations and close activities. Examines a variety of financial statements and transactions for completeness, internal accuracy, and conformance with accounting standards. Prepares tables, charts, and other exhibits for reports. May perform less complex accounting projects or participate as a team member on more complex projects. Qualifications To be successful in this role you will need the following: · The Level 4 Apprentice will have obtained AAT Level 3 or A Level equivalent qualification in Accounting and Finance related field. · Proficient IT and MS office skills is essential. · Good Organisation skills and Excellent Communication skills · GCSE or equivalent Math’s and English (Grade Grade C/4 or above) essential. Additional responsibilities that may occur in this Position: · Reconcile the company benefit account proactively, ensuring all inbound costs are reviewed and allocated to the correct end destination in a timely manner, communicating with key stakeholders. · Account for intercompany cross charge entries and liaise with internal customers. · Recording monthly double entry journals, supporting VAT Returns and owning a number of cross charge processes. Overview of the course: The Finance Apprentice role is a developmental position within the GCA Finance function. During the apprenticeship you will work 5 days per week, inclusive of 1 day per week for study at Darlington College. The working hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm (with flexibility to suit business needs). On completion of this apprenticeship, you will obtain a professional accountancy qualification.
