Job Responsibilities
1. Autonomously generate, report on, and deliver project plans for all engineering activities.
2. Lead site and corporate metric measures, including customer management, ensuring timely completion of actions.
3. Provide expertise and guidance on automation engineering for new product introductions, defining activities to deliver the automation strategy.
4. Offer technical support on automation issues to engineering and operations teams to resolve unplanned maintenance problems.
5. Lead continuous improvement automation projects to enhance site equipment reliability.
6. Conduct periodic software reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
7. Act as client liaison when needed, working closely with counterparts to align processes across manufacturing sites.
8. Mentor and support the engineering maintenance team in solving issues related to site utilities such as water, steam, and calibrated equipment.
9. Ensure compliance with cGMP and site SOPs in all work areas.
10. Support and mentor a team of engineers to adhere to preventative maintenance schedules.
11. Lead and communicate effectively within cross-functional teams to meet project timelines.
EH&S Responsibilities
1. Understand and follow emergency procedures and safe work systems.
2. Maintain compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, signage, and instructions.
3. Promptly report and investigate accidents, near misses, and safety breaches.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
1. Engineering degree or equivalent experience in PLC-controlled production environments.
2. Experience in Allen Bradley PLC programming and fault finding in control and network systems.
3. Strong project management background in regulated environments such as production or process engineering.
4. Proven problem-solving skills with urgency.
5. Client-facing experience is preferred.
