Due to the continued success and expansion of our business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Plumbing and Heating Manager to join our team at Exmouth. The Role We are looking for a full time Plumbing and Heating Manager, within our Exmouth branch. To lead and encourage employees to maximise sales and margin for the Company. Develop employees to build strong customer relationships, ensuring that no customer goes unserved. To lead and encourage employees to develop a well-managed and efficient department. Give support to other supervisors in order that they may achieve the same. To manage all aspects of colleagues and staffing within designated area of responsibility as determined by Branch Management. To support Branch Management in the effective operation of the branch and enforcement of Company policies and procedures. Build strong relationships through face-to-face contact or over the telephone. To ensure correct documentation is used and follow due process in a timely manner This position would be ideal for anyone who is currently or has recently worked in a similar trade counter environment ideally. In-house training for all computer and technical aspects of this role will be provided. Specific Experience & Skills Required To ensure customers are politely and efficiently served to guarantee customer satisfaction. Provide customers with advice and guidance on the selection and use of products and support colleagues in your areas of expertise. Give a flexible service to customers whether on site or in the customers’ homes. Encourage colleagues to maximise sales using linked selling and other appropriate skills. Responsible for driving sales forward, ensuring your employees use appropriate selling techniques eg effective quotation follow up, proactive promotional selling, effective telephone marketing. Review regular processes and advise branch management of any changes to ensure optimal efficiency is maintained. To help the Company devise action plans for the future success of the showroom on a regular basis. To develop the sales of the showroom through marketing initiatives, in conjunction with suppliers, the marketing department and Branch Management. Ensure that all enquiries and quotations are priced quickly and efficiently using market and system information to gain orders at maximum margin for the Company. All enquiries should be monitored to ensure that they are returned within three working days and followed up accordingly.
