Position: Lecturer in Higher Education Veterinary Nursing
Salary: Up to £36,507 per annum (pro-rata if part-time) (depending on qualifications and experience)
Working Pattern: 22.5hrs per week / Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)
University Centre Sparsholt is looking to appoint a lecturer in Veterinary Nursing and Applied Animal Science to join the HE team. The successful candidate will be part of a team ensuring the quality of Sparsholt's Higher Education provision and will teach on a range of courses which may include Veterinary Nursing Degree, Veterinary Nursing Diploma, and Animal Science. The academic role will involve supporting our students and delivering both taught and practical classes. All staff will engage in CPD and scholarly activity, and there are opportunities for personal development to study higher degrees where appropriate to the role. We encourage staff to undertake time in practice annually as part of their professional registration, which we will support.
We are looking for qualified nurses with practice experience; preference will be given to those holding appropriate postgraduate qualifications.
The post holder should also possess, or be willing to work towards, an appropriate teaching qualification. Teaching qualifications are supported as part of your development and run on site.
This post will be based at the Sparsholt Campus.
