My engineering consultancy client is seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer or Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their building services team at their Nottingham offices. As part of the team, you will be an integral part of a thriving department, working on a wide range of projects across various sectors. The building services team is currently experiencing an influx of work and is looking for someone with the expertise and enthusiasm to help deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions to their clients.

Electrical Design Engineer Role & Responsibilities:
Leading and managing electrical design projects across a variety of sectors including residential, education, justice, and laboratory sectors.
Collaborating with other disciplines, particularly mechanical engineering, to ensure seamless project delivery.
Preparing and managing fee proposals, working closely with clients, and representing the business in meetings.
Coordinating with the wider team, managing workload, and ensuring deadlines are met efficiently.
Providing leadership within the team, particularly for less experienced engineers and graduates, helping to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Designing electrical services from Stage 2 to Stage 6, including detailed designs, specifications, and calculations.
Engaging with clients, attending site visits, and providing technical advice as required.
Working on a variety of projects, including small to medium-sized schemes, as well as larger-scale residential and commercial projects.Electrical Design Engineer Requirements:
To thrive in this role, you should have a minimum of 3-4 years' experience in electrical design engineering (5-6 years for a senior position).
You will have experience in delivering electrical designs across multiple stages of a project, as well as managing client relationships and con[1]tributing to the growth of the team.
Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
Proven experience in electrical design within the building services sector, across a range of project types.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with strong communication skills.
Experience using design software such as REVIT (familiarity with MagiCAD is a plus).
Understanding of project management, including coordinating with internal teams and clients to ensure timely and efficient delivery of projects.
Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers and provide leadership in project delivery.
Ideally, you will be working towards Chartered Engineer status or have an interest in achieving this.
Strong organisational and time management skills to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.Electrical Design Engineer Package:
