CNC Grinder – Precision Engineering

🕒 Hours: Flexible start times (6am - 9am) | Early finish Friday | Optional Saturday mornings
About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled CNC Grinder to join a well-established precision engineering company in the Fareham area. The company specialises in high-precision components for industries such as aerospace, oil & gas, and nuclear. This role offers the chance to work with cutting-edge machinery and develop your skills in a specialist engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Operating, setting, and running Jones & Shipman CNC Grinders, plus manual cylindrical and surface grinding
✅ Working with high-tensile and ultra-high-tensile materials
✅ Understanding and interpreting engineering drawings and route cards
✅ Performing first-off inspections and completing relevant paperwork
✅ Maintaining high standards of work, especially in high-volume batch production
✅ Keeping a clean and organised workspace
What We’re Looking For:
🔹 Minimum 3 years of experience in a precision engineering environment
🔹 Familiarity with AS9100 Rev D standards preferred
🔹 Experience with honing and lapping processes is a plus
🔹 Ability to adjust machine offset coordinates to meet specifications
