We are looking for an experienced CCTV operator to join our team. Position Overview: The ARC/CCTV Operator is responsible for monitoring and operating the surveillance systems within the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) to ensure the safety and security of personnel, visitors, and property. The operator will be tasked with observing multiple video feeds, responding to alarms, coordinating with security personnel, and documenting incidents. Key Responsibilities: 1. Monitor Surveillance Systems: o Operate and monitor all surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and other security equipment. o Continuously observe video feeds to detect suspicious activities or security breaches. o Control of Remote Access control to customer’ premises. 2. Alarm Response: o Respond promptly to alarms by assessing the situation and determining the appropriate course of action. o Notify and coordinate with on-site security personnel, emergency services, or other relevant authorities as necessary. 3. Incident Management: o Record and document all incidents, including the time, date, nature of the incident, and actions taken. o Generate detailed incident reports for review by management. 4. Communication: o Maintain clear and effective communication with on-site security personnel and other stakeholders. o Provide timely updates on the status of ongoing incidents or alarms. 5. System Maintenance: o Perform routine checks on all surveillance equipment to ensure proper functioning. o Report any malfunctions or technical issues to the appropriate department for resolution. 6. Data Management: o Ensure the secure storage and handling of surveillance footage and data. o Follow protocols for data retention and disposal as per company policy and legal requirements. 7. Compliance: o Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as relevant legal regulations regarding surveillance and data protection. o Stay informed about industry best practices and advancements in surveillance technology. 8. Training and Development: o Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to surveillance operations and security procedures. o Assist in training new ARC/CCTV operators as needed. Qualifications: · Education: CCTV (Public Space Surveillance) SIA license is essential. · Experience: Prior experience in a similar role within security operations, law enforcement, or a related field is highly desirable. · Skills: o Proficiency in operating CCTV and other surveillance systems. o Strong observational skills and attention to detail. o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. o Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively. o Be computer literate, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and data management systems. · Other Requirements: o Due to the nature of the business, we are required to complete a BS7858 screening check for all successful candidates, this includes the last 5-year proven history. Work Environment: The ARC/CCTV Operator will work in a secure, controlled environment within the Alarm Receiving Centre. The role may involve long periods of sitting and monitoring screens, requiring strong focus and attention. Rate of Pay & Benefits: £12.94 per hour, Perkbox & Pension etc. Shift Pattern: 3 days/3nights/3 off with shift timings 0700 - 1900 & 1900 - 0700.
