Are you an organised and capable Account Manager with a background in logistics looking to work for a global business that has been operating for over 100 years and who actively trains and promotes from within?

On offer is a role where you will be responsible for a portfolio of customer accounts looking after European and Global export and import of liquid chemical goods and you will be the main point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders.
As the Customer service specialist, you will link with commerce to provide guidance and information to create chemistry with the customers providing optimal supply chain solutions on export and import enquiries.
This role would suit someone who is very well organised, logical, keen to progress and who has strong numeracy and literacy skills.
The responsibilities:
* Responsible for the operational contacts with the customer
* Building relationships, understanding the customers' needs and requirements, translating for business use, and providing sustainable logistics solutions to assist in the customer's supply chain
* Maintaining high levels of communication across the internal teams to ensure customers' requirements can be met and the operational teams have the necessary information to plan
* Optimizes the logistics services provided in terms of efficiency and effectiveness
* Informing customers and recharging any additional charges that result during the course of an order
* Providing customers with order updates and relevant documentation (CMR, invoices, heat certificates)
* Obtaining and coordinating the documentation necessary for import, export, and transit movements in line with Brexit clearance processes
* Monitors the gross/operational margins on customer accounts to suggest and implement improvement suggestions
The person:
* Experience in a customer service, office-based environment, ideally in logistics
* Experience of working in a people/customer facing role
