Job summary We are a practice with 6000 patients and pride ourselves on being a small practice who know our patients well. We are looking for a highly motivated, reliable, and friendly GP to join our small, well-established practice as a Salaried GP for 6-8 sessions, also considered on a job-share. There is potential partnership in the future but not immediately planned. We are willing to wait for the right person Main duties of the job The successful candidate would be working 6-8 sessions a week, we are flexible on full or half days. Routine appointments include face to face and telephone appointments, up to 15 patients per session. The GP would be managing incoming correspondence via docman and also managing their own results. The job plan for this post includes doing up to 2 sessions a week attending acute uncomplicated presentations for the PCN's population at the Extended primary care service located nearby. These sessions take place within normal GP working hours but weekends are available if preferred by the candidate. The post includes the possibility of attending our weekly clinical meetings and a monthly afternoon of Practice Learning Time. About us We are a 6000 patient training practice, based on one site. We are a highly valued and local patient focused team. We are set in a rapidly developing area of South East London. The practice is in Zone - a 3 minute walk from Surrey Quays Overground Station, 11 minute walk from Canada Water Jubilee Line station and with nearby shopping centre. Southwark Park on the doorstep of the practice Our practice is dynamic and evolving - it was single handed for several years before becoming a three partner practice in 2020. The three partners are two GPs and 1 ANP. We are friendly, approachable and supportive. Our very dedicated and capable team includes two other salaried GPs, a GP retainer, one Physician Associate, a part time Pharmacist, a GP trainee, a Practice Nurse and a Health Care Assistant. We have an excellent Administrative team - Secretary, Coding & Admin team with dedicated receptionists. We have Social Prescribers, Physiotherapists, Mental Health Practitioners and Pharmacists who also work on site as part of our PCN provision. We use Emis web, Docman 10, T-Quest, Accurx and DXS referral forms. We are always keen to explore and improve in order to offer the best possible care, recently we organised successful mindfulness breathing workshops for patients and staff. We are also part of the the RCGP national virology survey.
