DevOps Engineer - AWS Role Overview My Client is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to play a critical role within their team, integrating a number of existing products into a single Platform. You will help build and maintain observability tooling and capabilities, shaping the future of observability across all teams and the wider organization. Key Responsibilities: Work with the Senior Tooling and Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain an observability solution in line with the IT strategy and vision. Integrate observability solutions into the codebase, collaborating across the platform and other engineering teams. Ensure high-quality software delivery in partnership with QA teams, meeting both functional and non-functional requirements. Take ownership of key feature development, driving projects to completion, and managing inter-project dependencies and risks. Collaborate with governance teams to ensure adherence to quality standards, change control principles, and architectural design. Participate in incident management to resolve production defects promptly and efficiently. Guide teams on the implementation of best practices, including DevOps methodologies and agile principles. Essential Skills & Experience: Experience with AWS OpenSearch, Elastic, and ingestion tooling such as Cribl. Knowledge of cloud technologies and containerization for deployment and testing. Proven experience in Full-Stack Software Engineering using Java, C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, and scripting languages like Python and PowerShell. Hands-on experience with DevOps platforms such as GitLab, TeamCity, and source code management tools like Git.
