Position – Commercial Account Handler

Location – Orpington

Salary – Negotiable plus benefits


Overview

We are currently looking for a Commercial Account Handler to join our professional and welcoming team in Orpington.


From our Orpington location we offer high quality, specialist products to Personal and Commercial clients throughout the UK. We have sustained one of the highest customer satisfaction and retention rates within the industry by focusing on the precise needs of clients.


You will be joining a busy, proactive team of brokers who specialise in Commercial Insurance.


Flint Insurance focuses heavily on training and development and a full induction and training plan will be provided to successful applicants.


Working alongside like minded and experienced insurance brokers this is a long term opportunity with a ‘forever company’ that will provide career progression and security.


Day to day

* New business quoting, negotiating, broking and administration - converting new business enquires in line with, or in excess of, company targets.
* Renewal negotiating, broking and administration - converting renewal business in line with, or excess of, company targets.
* Midterm adjustments & administration.
* Maintaining day to day compliance procedures for FCA regulation. Incoming and outbound call handing - new and existing clients.
* Corresponding & communicating with clients and insurers
* Checking covers, warranties, endorsements to ensure that they are correct and in line with quotations provided.
* Preparing market presentation for both new business and renewal reports. Attending client new business and renewal meetings.
* Effectively manage individual diary.
* Cross selling other insurance products.
* Credit control for clients.
* Provide support to the department executives in accordance with office procedures.
* Managing personal work workflow effectively and efficiently - reporting workflow to manager.
* Maintaining a complete and comprehensive training record.
* Sharing ideas or suggestions for business improvement with management.
* Advising manager of any backlog in work in a timely manner.
* Advising manager of any debt recovery problems or contentious issues in a timely manner.

* Insurance Broking experience
* Negotiation skills Effective communication - both written and verbal
* Ability to work alone and as part of a team
* High attention to detail
* Form and develop strong insurer and client relationships
* High level customer service skills
* Time management and organisational skills
* Analytical and problem solving skills
