U-Educate is working with a lovely SEN School in Southampton who are looking to hire a full-time cover supervisor, preferably someone who is experienced/confident with maths.

Location: Southampton SEN School
Salary: £2,000-£2,500 per month Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

Classroom Management: Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of regular teachers, ensuring a safe and productive environment for all students.

Lesson Delivery: Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans, facilitating student engagement through interactive and innovative approaches, especially in mathematics.

Support for Students: Provide targeted support to students in their mathematical understanding, helping them to develop problem-solving skills and confidence in their abilities.

Behaviour Management: Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain discipline and respect within the classroom, promoting a culture of learning.

Assessment & Feedback: Assist with the assessment of student progress, providing constructive feedback to both students and teachers to help inform future learning strategies.
Qualifications:

Educational Background: Strong background in mathematics, with a degree or equivalent qualification preferred. A passion for teaching and mentoring students is essential.

Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues alike.
*
Classroom Experience: Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not essential. Experience working with diverse student groups is a plus.

Adaptability: Ability to think on your feet and adapt lesson plans to meet the varying needs of students.
